Mini Beasts in Queens Park

Looking for something to do with the kids over the school holidays? Learn about mini beasts and water bugs with some exciting hands on activities and become a Junior Ranger on a tour of Queens Park. Guardian supervision required.

When: Wednesday, 27 September, 10am-12 noon (Junior ranger tour commencing at 11am)

Happy Families = Happy Homes

Is your life too cluttered? Eco Organiser Tanya Lewis shares the 10R's™ method to declutter your home and save time, space and money without costing the earth.

Summer Gardening

With many spring plants reaching the end of their lifecycles, it's the perfect time to learn how to get the most out of your garden in the warmer weather.

This workshop looks at which veggies to plant, how to keep gardens going until June and the most inexpensive and delicious ways to preserve your harvest.

When: Sunday, 22 October, 10am - 12 noon

Connecting Children with Nature

Celebrate Children's Week by teaching your children the value of home grown healthy produce and the natural environment.

Children will learn how to plant and care for their own seasonal seedlings and will be able to take home their seedlings in their own biodegradable pots.

Children can also build their own bee hotel and explore the local park as a Junior Ranger, learning about all the interesting plants and animals with their own ranger kits.

Swap before you shop!

Looking to swap your pre-loved garments for a 'new' wardrobe? Be part of our clothing exchange party to celebrate National Recycling Week.

Jewellery upcycling workshop

Join artist Emma Grace to learn how to turn your old discarded items of jewellery into beautiful and unique pieces.

Keep pests at bay the organic way

What is causing your plants to suffer? Can weeds be good for the garden?

Learn techniques to keep pests and diseases away from your plants without chemicals as well as natural ways to improve your harvest with less effort.

When: Saturday, 9 December, 10am - 12 noon
