Moonee Valley Councillors, with support of an organisation (pdf, 87kb), oversee and guide the future of the local area and advocate on behalf of the community on a range of issues like public transport.
Council is responsible for providing a range of community services including childcare, aged and disability, libraries, animal registration, planning, street cleaning, parking management, citizenship ceremonies, garbage collection and recycling.
Council also looks after community buildings, footpaths and roads, parks and gardens, bridges, drains and street furniture, environmental areas, recreation centres and sporting grounds. More information about how Council works can be found in the Guide to Local Government.
