Disability and Older Persons
Almost 20 per cent of Moonee Valley’s population is 60 years and older. Council provides a range of services and support for older residents and for people with a disability.

Our services are guided by a Community Care Service Charter which outlines the mutual obligations between citizens and Council by highlighting rights and responsibilities to ensure you receive the highest quality of service.

In many cases you will need an assessment before accessing Council’s services. The Aged and Disability Services Assessment team can do this. Referrals are taken via fax, email or telephone. If you are eligible, an assessment officer will visit you at home to assess your needs and provide information on Council and other community care services in the municipality. You can contact the assessment team on 9243 8806.
