Have your say on our Local Law

Wednesday, 28 February 2018

Moonee Valley City Council is currently reviewing our Local Law and is now seeking feedback from the community.

Moonee Valley Mayor Cr John Sipek said the review will help us ensure that our proposed Activities and General Amenities Local Law meets the needs of the Moonee Valley community and is relevant for the next 10 years.

“The Local Law protects everything that you love most about Moonee Valley which is why we want to hear from you,” Cr Sipek said.

“Make sure you get involved and provide feedback on the issues that are important to you.”

Portfolio holder for Future Communities, Cr Rebecca Gauci Maurici, said it was important for people who work, live or study in Moonee Valley to have their input into this crucial review.

“The Local Law covers everything from permits and keeping of animals to camping, abandoned vehicles and busking so it’s important you have your say,” Cr Gauci Maurici said.

Public consultation will take place from 8 March to 6 April after the proposed Local Law was approved by Council at its Ordinary Meeting on Tuesday, 27 February.

People can submit feedback in writing or online, complete a survey, or be heard at Council. There are also drop-in sessions and the chance to talk to our officers at the Moonee Valley Festival.
