A community event to raise awareness of Domestic Violence and its effects through a Jewellery making workshop. Adults and children are welcome.

Join us for the biggest day on the Victorian sporting calendar, as we see which team will take out the 2017 AFL Premiership on Saturday September 30th.

We'll be kicking the party off from 12:30pm with LIVE entertainment and giveaways in the carpark, before heading inside for the first bounce at 2:30pm.


- Full HD cinema-style projection of the entire game, along with pre and post match festivities.

- Beanbags and couches provided for ultimate comfort

- Pizza, pies and hot dogs for lunch/dinner

- Cold and warm drinks

- All ages jumping castle

- Pool/table tennis/air hockey

- Prize giveaways at 1/4, half and 3/4 time

We encourage people to come dressed in their footy colours, no matter which team they barrack for to get into the spirit of the day. If you don't have any that's totally fine too!

Come early, come late or stay for the whole day. There will be plenty happening that even those that don't like footy will still have a great time. Just be there with us to celebrate that "one day in September"!

Q&A and Discussion Groups

Come and join us as a group of diverse youth from various religious backgrounds come together to share their inspiring stories and what its like to live as a young people of faith in Melbourne today.

There will be opportunities to break away into smaller groups to discuss and examine the concept of interfaith and its relationship to community harmony.

U3A Moonee Valley continues to celebrate its 20th Anniversary with our Open Day at Ascot Vale Community Centre.

Come along, bring a friend and meet some of our members, check out group performances (e.g. Line Dancing and Tai Chi) and watch demonstrations of:

- Scrabble (why not challenge our 'Scrabblers')

- Mah-Jong

- Social Bridge

- Patchwork, and more.

We'll also have displays of awesome work completed by our members:

- art

- badminton

- croquet

- languages

- flicks in the afternoon

- plus more

We have around 60 courses to choose from and U3A is open to anyone 50 years and over who is retired or semi retired. All tutors and committee members are volunteers and are committed to providing interesting, fun informative classes.
