Public sessions are held every Saturday morning from 10am-12 noon, (except for public holiday long weekends) as well as Monday to Friday during school holidays from 10am-12 noon and again from 1pm-3pm.
Traffic School will next be open on school holidays from Monday, 3 April to Thursday, 13 April.
Entry is on a first come, first serve basis with only 30 children permitted in each session. To avoid disappointment please arrive early as once attendances reach 30 we are unable to permit further entry.

Can I make a booking for a public session?
Work is underway on an online booking system for the public sessions at the Traffic School but in the meantime to ensure that you gain entry to a public session you will need to arrive early, as only the first 30 children will be admitted.
Will the Traffic School be open if the weather is poor?
If the forecast is for 36 degrees or above the Traffic School will not open due to Council's Sun and Heat Protection Policy. If the forecast is for heavy rain or a storm it will also be closed, however if you are unsure please contact Citizens Services on 9243 8888 who will be able to advise you if Traffic School is closed that day.
Do I need to bring my own bike and helmet?
Bikes and helmets are available for you to use at no additional charge, however you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer. The biggest bike size we have are 20 inch bikes, suitable for children up to 10 years of age. If you require a larger bike you will need to bring your own. We also have 12 and 16 inch bikes with and without training wheels, as well as a variety of trikes and balance bikes for younger riders.
Can I bring a scooter to ride at Traffic School?
No scooters are permitted at Traffic School as the facility is designed for children to learn about riding bikes safely on the roads. Scooters are not permitted on Victorian roads, and also pose a safety risk when combined with children riding bikes.
Will the Tram be open?
Unfortunately due to safety concerns the Tram is no longer accessible during public sessions.
