Cilla Black is back! You’re My World is a biographical cabaret full of the powerhouse vocals and self-deprecating humour that made Cilla Black one of the UK’s most beloved performers. However, being able to get out and about is vital for leading an active, independent lifestyle. We are offering a free program to help you stay in charge of your life. Mystery Tour – Big band dance

Famous for its history with big-band dances and great dance music from the 40’s and 50’s, the beautiful Melbourne Town Hall will host a free dance event for this year’s Seniors Festival. Join those keeping the tradition of big-band dances alive for a day of great music and dancing! Moonee Valley Community Transport will provide a drop off/pick up service from Civic Centre.

Arty Tales at Incinerator Gallery

Calling all grandparents! Arty tales is an early learning program for children aged 3-5. Classic movie screening - The Glenn Miller Story

Movie theatre ushers and beautiful theatre-style popcorn will set the theme this year at Burley Griffin Community Centre for this classic biographical film. The Glenn Miller Story follows big band leader Glenn Miller from his beginnings in the music business to his death while flying over the English Channel in 1944 during World War II.

How do you shape the story of a life? What story do you have to tell? Memoirist Lyndel Caffrey’s one-day workshop, will show you how. This workshop is suitable for beginners and those working on a first draft. Participants can submit either a synopsis of their project or 500-800 word draft to librarian@mvcc.vic.gov.au, once booked for specific feedback during the workshop.
