Sam Merrifield Library renovations

The Sam Merrifield Library is undergoing renovations. This will involve some noise and disruption. Please bear with us as we work to improve our services.

Ascot Vale Library outdoor room works

Work on the Ascot Vale Library outdoor room is progressing quickly. On Friday April 6th, the ramp and stairs will be removed from the front of the library and a temporary ramp will be put in place for the next few weeks while the foundations for the decking are built. We ask that you take extra care while entering and leaving the library. During the day works staff will happily assist anyone who needs it.

KOGO: Knit One, Give One

Knit one, give one

Knit One Give One, KOGO, is a not for profit organisation supplying handmade garments to support people experiencing hardship. Volunteers can make a whole range of items including scarves, beanies, blankets, toys and children’s and babies’ clothing. Finished items are distributed to various community partners throughout Australia including the Salvation Army, Sacred Heart Mission, Mirabel Foundation and Open Family Australia.

Moonee Valley Libraries invites members of the community to share some warmth throughout 2018 and knit, crochet or sew for KOGO. We will be forwarding on donations throughout the year. Patterns are available on the KOGO website or ask staff for assistance.

Completed items or blanket squares may be dropped off at any of our library branches.
