e-Books

e-books are electronic books produced in a digital format. They are downloaded to e-book reading devices such as Kindle or Kobo readers. Moonee Valley Library Service does not currently offer e-books for public loan but hopes to do so in the near future.

Science fiction and fantasy publisher.

Digital Book Index 
Provides links to more than 165,000 full text digital books.

Free Kindle books on Amazon
A mixed collection specifically for kindle readers.

Free-eBbooks.net
Unlimited access to HTML format and limited access to PDF and text formats.

Google Books
Offers nearly 3 million free ebooks from the public domain.

Inkmesh
An ebook search engine. You can also limit your search to free titles.

Project Gutenberg
More than 33,000 free ebooks to read on a PC, iPad, Kindle or other portable devices.

e-Reference

Read digital versions of popular reference books across a broad range of topics at the Gale Virtual Reference Library. Explore anything from Fashion, Costume and Culture to the World of Forensic Science.

Most e-reference books can be read in both HTML and PDF formats and can be downloaded onto iPads and other PDF viewers with wireless capability.
