Amendment C140 Gaming Policy

On 25 February 2014, we resolved to seek ministerial authorisation to prepare Amendment C140 to the Moonee Valley Planning Scheme.

The amendment proposes to implement the findings of the Moonee Valley Gaming Policy - Reference Document (2014) by:

The Gaming Policy provides additional guidance for an application to install or use a gaming machine or use land for gaming. The Policy takes into account specific characteristics of the local community to guide the location of gaming machines to appropriate areas, sites and venues.

A full copy of the amendment document is available for viewing at the Department of Transport, Planning and Local Infrastructure website.

Consultation on the amendment closed on 6 June 2014.

On 26 August 2014, Council resolved to adopt Amendment C140. The amendment has now been sent to the Minister for Planning for approval.
