Playgroups & Toy Library

While playgroups are all different, all aim to build social connections for parents and children. Parents and caregivers have an opportunity to meet new people, gain support and exchange parenting ideas. Babies, toddlers and preschool children thrive as they play and learn together.

Research provides evidence about the benefits for children and families participating in playgroup. A recent study by RMIT found improved social connection and enhanced transition to kindergarten and school.

A study by the Australian Institute of Family Studies shows supported playgroups benefit both children and families through social support, socialisation and learning.
