Bird Walk and Talk

Celebrate National Bird week by joining us for a walk along Steele Creek with bird expert, Lindall Kidd from Birdlife Australia, to learn all about the beautiful birds we have right here in Moonee Valley.

This will be an easy 45 minute walk suitable for adults and children with time for questions.

Beginners Guide to Edible School Garden

Learn the basics of setting up edible school gardens.

The workshop will cover:

  • The benefits of wicking garden beds for schools
  • Seasonal planting information
  • Materials you will need
  • Ways to involve the students and school community
  • Take home resources

This workshop will be run by Karen Sutherland of Edible Eden Garden Design. Karen is a garden designer with 25 years experience in edible gardening, including school projects.

A great workshop for educators and school parents wanting to start new or reinvigorate a school garden.
