The colourful Mediterranean Fiesta returns!

Thursday, 8 March 2018

Join in the fun and festivities at the annual Mediterranean Fiesta at the Centreway in East Keilor on Sunday, 25 March.

The popular community event is a celebration of Moonee Valley’s migrant history and all of the varied and vibrant contributions they have made to the municipality.

Moonee Valley Mayor Cr John Sipek said he was excited about attending the free event and encouraged everyone to come along.

“Every year the Mediterranean Fiesta brings together people from all different cultures and pays homage to Moonee Valley’s history of migration," Cr Sipek said.

“Moonee Valley would not be the place that it is today without the very cultural contributions we celebrate at Fiesta with music, dance and delicious food.

“The cooking demonstrations and community entertainment at the Mediterranean Fiesta are some of the many things that sets it apart from other events.

“The entertainment is set to impress this year too, with the Maltese Philharmonic Band, The Gruppo Culturale Italiano and the Beledicious Dance Troupe among others performing on the big day.”

Be sure to catch demonstrations including cooking party treats, Moroccan tagine and vegan pastas, and entertainment with everything from Italian singing and Turkish dancing to roving mermaids and pirates.
