Council Plan

The Council Plan is a medium-term plan that sets out our strategic direction and focus for what we aim to achieve during the four-year Council term.

Council Plan 2017-21 (integrating the Health Plan)

The Council Plan 2017-21 was formally endorsed and adopted by Council at its meeting on 27 June 2017.

Each year we reflect on the progress of our current Council Plan and make any necessary adjustments.

This year that also includes aligning the plan to our long-term strategy for Moonee Valley, MV2040.

Let us know what you think of the updated plan by 5pm on Sunday, 16 September. 

A hard copy of the draft updated plan is available at the Civic Centre, Flemington Community Centre and Council libraries.

How to make a submission

Tell us what you think of the updated plan before 5pm on Sunday, 16 September.

Submissions can be sent in writing via:

If you wish to speak in support of your submission, you must let us know as part of your written submission.

You may request to be heard before Council in support of your written submission (or be represented by a person acting on your behalf).

Submissions will be heard by a Committee of Whole of Council at 6pm on Tuesday, 2 October at the Civic Centre, 9 Kellaway Avenue, Moonee Ponds.

Council will consider submissions in accordance with section 223 of the Local Government Act 1989.

How we report on our progress

We monitor and report on our progress on implementing the Council Plan through our Annual Report and quarterly reports
