Family day care

Family day care is a home-based childcare service offering professional education and care for children from birth to 12 years of age for families who work, study or require respite. This service operates all year round. We are responsible for approving, supporting, training and advising our educators.

Babies, preschool and primary school aged children are cared for in small groups in the homes of qualified family day care educators, from a variety of cultural backgrounds.

A wide range of care options are offered to meet individual needs, including:

  • Full or part-time
  • Occasional care
  • Before school and after school care
  • Holiday care
  • Care for children with additional needs

The Child Care Benefit is available to most families to reduce program costs.
